Ms Alana Hartley

Alana is studying a bachelor of Agribusiness at Curtin University, and is a member of the Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia. Upon completion of her studies Alana envisages herself entering the grains industry or any other commodity industry to help improve efficiencies of global market prediction, implementation of marketing strategies to increase financial seasonal returns whilst gaining a thorough understanding of individual farm businesses. Alana also has had a life long ambition to become part of the live cattle export trade. Alana’s involvement with the RAS of WA has been primarily in the Sheep section , presenting stud rams and ewes in each class. She has been involved in the judging process. Alana believes that the biggest reward of being involved in the Show is the people she meets, both agricultural professionals and city visitors.

Mr Leroy (Leo) McBride

Leo is studying a Bachelor of Agribusiness at Curtin University, and is also a member of the Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia. Upon completion of his studies Leo would like to gain employment in industry sectors such as rural extension programs and trials/research projects – projects that are directed at increasing the sustainability of agricultural production systems. As a recent member of the RAS of WA Leroy hopes to become involved and support any upcoming events. Leo is an active member of Meals on Wheels delivering meals to the elderly and the less fortunate.

Ms Alicia Kemp

Alicia is studying a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at Murdoch University, and is a member of the Pickering Brook Agricultural Society. Upon completion of her studies Alicia hopes to gain employment in rural Australia as either a large animal veterinarian or if the opportunity arises, work in a more specialised area as a production animal consultant. Alicia’s involvement in Pickering Brook Agricultural Society is within the equine area assisting judges with pencilling of the ridden pony classes.
