For more than 20 years, the Royal Agricultural Society of Western Australia has recognised the achievements of individuals in regional WA through the Rural Community Achiever Award.

This prestigious award acknowledges the life-time service of those who volunteered their time to make their communities strong and vital.

The winner of the competition receives $2,000 in prize money and their nominated community project also receives $2,000.

The Mission Statement for the Rural Community Achiever Award is: “To acknowledge those among us within the rural community who have given extraordinary time and effort to help improve agriculture and rural life in Western Australia”. 

Nominees can include: 

  • People who have given themselves and their time in an unpaid capacity; and
  • People who have given extra time and energy over and above their paid duties.
