Year 11 Residential Agricultural College Scholarship

Each year RASWA offers a scholarship to a Year 11 student boarder at each residential WA Agricultural College to assist with fees in Year 12. The six colleges are located in:

• Denmark
• Harvey
• Morawa
• Narrogin
• Cunderin
• Bindoon

2019 Winners

WA College of Agriculture Cunderdin’s recipient of the RASWA Scholarship for 2019 is Year 11 student Clayton Homewood from Moora.
Clayton is interested in pursuing a career in agriculture once he graduates from College next year.
“I want to do a heavy duty diesel mechanic apprenticeship probably followed by an auto electrical apprenticeship so that I can eventually go onto a farm of my own,” Clayton said.
“Studying at the College across the farm area will really help me when I go onto a farm of my own.
“The trades area, in particular autos, will give me a head start to seek out an apprenticeship and the engineering skills I have learnt are a great skill to have.”
Clayton enjoys playing football for Goomalling during the winter months and likes to help out on farms on weekends and holidays.
He said the RASWA scholarship, which goes towards Year 12 residential fees, would help ease the financial burden on his family.
“My parents work very hard to pay for me to come here,” Clayton said.
