Throughout the state many regional agricultural shows will host regional qualifying young judge and paraders competitions to allow young members of regional
communities to qualify for the state final at the Perth Royal Show each year.
The WA State Program includes a variety of categories that encourage interest and learning amongst the young agricultural population. These categories are:
• Alpaca & Alpaca Fleece Judging
• Beef Cattle Judging
• Beef Cattle Parading
• Dairy Cattle Judging
• Dairy Cattle Parading
• Meat Breed Sheep Judging
• Merino Sheep Judging
• Merino Fleece Judging
• Poultry Judging
The winner from each of the above Young Judges and Paraders Competitions then travel to represent WA at an Agricultural Show in a major capital city at the ASA National Finals.
Each show is run by the local Royal Agricultural Society with the National Finals rotating each year.
