Young Rural Ambassadors represent WA in National Finals

April 4, 2022

Join us in wishing well Kelly Gorter and Joshua Antonio as they fly to Sydney on Tuesday April 5 to represent Western Australia in the National Finals for the Rural Ambassador Awards. The Awards finals will be held on April 9 & 10 at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Ms Gorter, 27, of Wagin, and representing Wagin Agricultural Society, is the 2021 Western Australian Rural Ambassador champion and will compete in the 2022 National Final this week.

Mr Antonio, 26, of Southern Brook, and representing Northam Agricultural Society, will also attend and compete in the 2020 National Final which was cancelled due to covid19. Mr Antonio is stepping in for the 2019 Rural Ambassador winner, MacKenzie Walmsley, who is unable to attend.

Congratulations to both of our finalists, Ms Gorter and Mr Antonio. We know you will do Western Australia proud!

The Rural Ambassador program is proudly supported by Harvest Road and celebrates youth who demonstrate a passion for agriculture and rural Australia.
