Jack Bendat Vale

February 28, 2022

The Royal Agricultural Society of WA wishes to acknowledge the passing of Mr Jack Bendat.

Jack Bendat was an inspiring and generously giving person, who on arrival in Perth Western Australia in 1966 immediately made an impact on both business and the community.

Jack Bendat had many achievements in business, including Shopping Centre development, Media, Horticulture and Sport to mention a few, whilst at the same time supporting and giving to so many causes such as Homelessness, Family Support, Cancer, and through the Bendat Family Foundation, providing numerous scholarships to many groups and people.

Specific to the Royal Agricultural Society of WA, Jack and Eleanor Bendat made a significant financial contribution to both the Agricultural Hall of Fame and the RASWA Agricultural Youth Scholarship Programme.

The Agricultural Hall of Fame continues to be a permanent fixture at the Claremont Showground and acknowledges many of the industries pioneers, whilst the Youth Scholarship Programme continues to support tertiary scholarships to up and coming Western Australians within the agricultural sector.

In May 2015, Jack and Eleanor Bendat became Honorary Members of the Royal Agricultural Society of WA.

On behalf of the RASWA Council, Staff and Volunteers of the Royal Agricultural Society of WA we say thank you to Mr Jack Bendat, for his service and support, and to Eleanor Bendat and the Bendat Family Foundation we also say thank you, and that it has been our privilege to be part of your lives and giving, and for that we say thank you.
