RASWA awards a “Volunteer of the Year” to recognise the outstanding contribution an individual makes to the Society throughout the year. The award is presented at the beginning of the Royal Show. Criteria for the award include:
- Length of service with the Royal Agricultural Society of WA
- Willingness to assist/contribute
- Initiative
- Leadership, creativity, cooperation
- Interpersonal skills
- Enthusiasm/commitment
