LEFROY Peter Bruce

1916 – 1999

Peter Lefroy inherited and improved a notable Merino stud, Cranmore, and gave a lifelong commitment of generous and imaginative leadership to the Western Australian wool industry. His contributions included the invention of a lamb cradle for mulesing, the establishment of Rural Traders Company, the marketing of unblended wool to overseas processors and the improvement of animal breeding facilities. The sagacity of his judgment was respected throughout the industry.
